caitlin wilson textiles

My little bubba turns 2 this week and I have starting switching out her nursery decor for big girl room decor. I am going to keep her in her crib a while longer because she isn't climbing out yet. I have these pillows from Caitlin Wilson Textiles to put on her big girl bed when we get there though. I'm pretty excited about the pillows-it is almost reason enough to switch her from the crib to the bed now, almost. We painted the walls luna light by columbia and I made the horizontal striped curtains! They are my favorite part! I'm also working on a little sunburst mirror to put over the bed using this tutorial and some book storage. It is coming together quite well and I love the change of scenery in her room!

Between getting ready for Christmas, lots of Christmas card orders, and a ten day trip to Hawaii over New Year's I have been pretty busy and I have put blogging on the back burner! But, I'm working on putting together a few things for my daughters 2nd birthday bash in a few weeks and I can't wait to share how it all turns out! These two photos I found on Pinterest are my main inspiration.

Oh, Baby! These are some photos of the shower I hosted for a friend. I think orange, blue and green are great colors for a baby boy shower or nursery.

The nursery rhyme game was great because it was low key, fun, and different.

I have been to a bunch of weddings recently and I always procrastinate wrapping up the gift until the last minute and I never have a tag ready or enough time to make a proper one. In an effort to fix this little problem I made this little tag and put a whole bunch on a sheet to print off. That way I will have enough tags that are ready to be slapped on a gift. Perfect! I am a huge fan of yearly traditions! 'Booing' our neighbors each year is most certainly one of my favs! Every ~~grown up~~ kid loves a good excuse to eat treats and doorbell ditch the neighbors, right? I've always used the ratty old copy that my neighborhood used when I was growing up. It needed to be updated in a bad way. This is what I came up with! Enjoy!

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary--time flies when you are having fun!

I made this print for my husband of his favorite quote, in his favorite color. He has been wanting to put this quote somewhere in our house for quite some time,

I just haven't done it yet.

I am thinking of doing a mossy green colored background (to match our decor) and putting it on a gallery wrapped canvas...but, I just can't quite decide.

ABC Quiet Book

I just finished this quiet book for my little miss and I love how it turned out! I searched the internet for ideas on quiet books similar to this and didn't find much inspiration, so I though I would share! I just printed each page, laminated them, and had it spiral bound. She loves to look through it and notices the colors, letters, and of course her favorite, pictures of herself! Hopefully it can help her pass at least some of the time during church quietly!

(I have had quite a few requests for this book, but based on the experience here this quiet book can not be available for sell or for download. Sad news! Feel free to borrow the idea/text and create your own!)

I made these prints for our bathroom and framed them in the ikea ribba frame and hung them over the toilet. I really love how it turned out! I also decided I needed a white ruffle shower curtain. I debated over sewing my own, but ended up buying this one at a great price! I am so in love with the new look I can't stop peeking in the bathroom...!
